Measures and rules developed in the EU member states regarding integration of third country nationals - Comparative Report

By Yves Pascouau

Published on 29/04/2016

This report, entitled ‘Measures and rules developed in the EU Member States regarding integration of third county nationals’ provides a detailed comparative analysis of integration measures and schemes established in 27 member states and Norway, in terms of language and civic knowledge on the one hand, and access to the labour market on the other.

Written by Yves Pascouau, it seeks to identify convergences and divergences between national rules and practices. The comparative approach gives a transversal view and enables decision makers to better understand the dynamics of policy making in the member states and find effective rules and practices that can help to improve migrants’ integration into the receiving societies.

The report was realised with the support of the network of National Contacts Points on Integration, and coordinated by the European Commission, with the help of the financial contribution of the European Fund for Integration.
